Since having a handful of clients back in 2014, I made a habit of sending digital email Christmas cards. I understand that everyone’s busy during this season, and to be honest, I don’t have a lot of budget for gifts. As a kid, I also remember being so excited about receiving cards, and I want my clients to feel that way.
I noticed that I have a good tradition running, and I’d like to present to you the cards I’ve made:
Let me tell you a little secret though: some of these cards were made at the last minute. I remember making a card a few minutes before going to Christmas mass with my family. I think there’s a mixture of a self-imposed deadline and a “don’t do perfect on IG” behind finishing these before Christmas.
This year, I was not very into it. I gave myself the whole December to relax and take some pressure off, and that extended to the Christmas cards. Don’t get me wrong, I still love this tradition but I really gave myself a break this season.
At the start of the year, though, I did something different! I’ve been taking a Skillshare class on short stop-motion animation, so I’m inspired to make my New Year Card animated!
As for 2020, I’m still reading up and planning my goals, and I hope to be done by a couple of days. Life is out there ready to take me in and I’ll be going straight into it with a plan at hand.
